According to Wikipedia, bracketology is the process of predicting the field of college basketball participants in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, named as such because it is commonly used to fill in tournament brackets for the postseason. Bracketology also encompasses the process of predicting the winners of each of the brackets. In recent years the concept of bracketology has been applied to areas other than basketball.
In a normal year, the NCAA tournament is played within the four regions of the Midwest, West, South, and East. In our Retirement Madness talk, we’ll discuss the following four topics:
- Income vs. Expenses
- Risks vs. Rewards
- Now vs. Later
- Expectations vs. Reality
The NCAA announced in early January the entire 2021 men’s basketball will be played in Indiana, with the majority of the games taking place in Indianapolis. As an added bonus to our talk, if we have time we’ll discuss one more “championship” topic which will be: Men vs. Women. We’ll discuss the advantages and disadvantages between men and women when it comes to retirement.
