Balanced Leadership
Our leadership impacts everything we do. To most, it seems there is so much written and said on the topic of leadership that it is confusing to determine what is really worth your attention. Ken Bixby, President & CEO of BJU Education Group, an organization focused on education from birth to twelfth grade spoke about the two important aspects of the leadership coin. First, we must have a winning strategy. Second, we must learn to bring out the best in people. The hard part is striking the right balance between the two. We also learned about Situational Leadership and how as leaders we should adapt to different types of people we lead.
Based on the book he is in the process of finishing, Ken will present what he believes are the two most important responsibilities of leadership that are equally important but seldom executed in balance. He will give examples of how he has focused on these principles of balanced leadership in industry and encourage you to take actionable steps to improve your leadership.
