Director of Research
Dr. Jeff Roach is the Director of Research at Intelligent Investing while currently running an independent economic consulting firm. Jeff will provide macro economic forecasts and research relating to the portfolios and risk management. He has a wide range of professional experiences. His unique experience on an institutional trading floor, academic research, and client money-management make him a well rounded economist.
Dr. Roach began his career as an economist on the trading floor of Bank of America. In addition, he served as an economist and provided research and talks to various consulting and asset management firms. In order to facilitate cutting edge research, he maintains frequent contact with other leading economists, Wall Street analysts, and academic professors from around the world.
Dr. Roach earned a BS in Mathematics from Bob Jones University, both an MA and PhD in Economics from Clemson University and received a visiting post-doctoral research appointment at Harvard University. He and his wife, Erica have two children. Jeff serves as deacon at his church, Matthews Orthodox Presbyterian Church and also serves as President of the Board for Greyfriars Classical Academy.
